Boosting Easter fun
BOOST Juice Bars is ramping up its promotions for Easter with a nationwide dress-up-your-shop competition worth $1000 to the winning store.
Tweed City store staff were an interesting sight on Saturday, complete with fluffy bunny ears, carrots and Easter decorations.
Assistant manager, Rayna Channells, said she was impressed by the effort the staff had made and thought the store had a good chance of coming away with the prize money.
“It was fantastic. All the girls dressed up and we decorated the store,” Ms Channells said.
“If we win we have chosen to donate some of the money to the Make a Wish foundation and use the remaining to buy new blender jugs.”
Ms Channells said the competition was a good representation of the Boost brand.
“That's what Boost is all about, having fun and helping people,” she said, “
“We really got into it this time and put in a lot of effort and I think we really out-did the other stores.”
Boost Juice Bars were established in 2000 – the creation of a brave entreprenuer tired of struggling to find healthy fast food.
The first store opened in Adelaide where Janine Allis and her husband Jeff worked hands-on – literally – scrubbing floors and chopping fruit.
Now, there are almost 200 Boost franchises that collectively sell more than one million juices and smoothies every month.
Mrs Allis swears by a strong can-do attitude.
“If someone comes up and says ‘I'll try and do it', we say ‘don't try, just do it',” Mrs Allis said.
“And so many times through our journey, particularly through building our stores, there have been many ‘nos' that were converted to a ‘yes'.
“If you go in with a positive attitude you can do anything.”
The Easter dress-up-your-shop competition is judged today.
