Alleged bow and arrow boy, 16, released on bail
POLICE have now charged a teenager following an incident at Woolgoolga High School on Thursday.
Shortly after 8.30am that morning, police were called to the school after students reported to the office that a boy had been seen with a bow and arrows on the grounds.
A male teacher confronted a 16-year-old male student in the playground about the allegations.
The youth allegedly grabbed the hidden bow and arrows but the bow was successfully wrestled free by the teacher.
The student ran from the school with the arrows before police were called and attended the scene.
Following inquiries, officers from Coffs Clarence Local Area Command arrested the boy at Woolgoolga late on Friday.
He was taken to Woolgoolga Police Station and charged with going armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, entering enclosed land, and resisting an officer in execution of duty.
The boy was granted bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Children's Court on Tuesday, March 4.
