Boy, 11, killed in bike crash

A CHILD has died in a tragic four-wheel all-terrain bike rollover.

Emergency services were called to a farm at Dulguigan, north of Murwillumbah, shortly before 3pm when the 11-year-old boy's father found him pinned underneath the ATV.

The man tried desperately to revive his son while police, ambulance paramedics and the Lifesaver Four helicopter raced to the property.

Paramedics continued in an attempt to resuscitate and stabilise the child, however he died at the scene.

Tweed Byron police will prepare a report into the circumstances of the child's death for the NSW Coroner.
