Boy rips into Santa: 'You don't know the trouble I've had'
IT'S coming up to Christmas and many children are already writing their letters to Santa, but for one boy, this wasn't as exciting a prospect as you may think.
Instead of listing his favourite toys or what he wanted as a gift, this child took the time to write to Santa about his "empty" life - and it's as ridiculous as it sounds.
US radio journalist Sarah McCammon tweeted that her six-year-old son had written a letter to Santa as part of a class project.
My 6yo Santa skeptic was told to write a letter to Santa at school. So he did... pic.twitter.com/XUFGMnXDFT— Sarah McCammon NPR (@sarahmccammon) December 3, 2017
As the letter explains, the disgruntled child began by saying he was "only doing this for the class".
Calling Santa out on his empty lists of both naughty and nice children, the boy then went on to add one bitter attack on Santa, calling his life empty.
In an additional twist of fate, the child then brings in his own problems to the list, by adding: "You don't know the trouble I've had in my life."
His letter has amassed a legion of fans - with more than 4,000 people retweeting it in the first 12 hours.
PS - the "troubles" in his life? His brother. Don't call child services. 😂— Sarah McCammon NPR (@sarahmccammon) December 3, 2017
