Boy robbed and bashed with bar

TWO men assaulted a teenager during a robbery at Tugun on Sunday.

According to Gold Coast police, the 16-year-old boy was punched in the face and hit with a metal bar.

Police said four young people were walking along Golden Four Dr about 2.30am when they were approached by three men.

One of the men punched the Currumbin Waters boy in the mouth while a second man struck him with a metal bar.

The third man threatened the teenagers with a knife.

The men stole the boy's shoes, a sum of cash and his mobile phone before getting into a maroon-coloured car and fleeing the scene.

The boy sustained some bruising to the head and a swollen lip during the incident. The other three boys were not injured.
