One woman said she saw up to 15 men yelling and arguing before the single shot was fired.

"I heard all the arguing and fighting across the road, it was about 15 people, they were all men," she said. "Then I heard one shot."

A man who lived near where the shooting happened said the group involved in the brawl were involved in another fight on New Year's Eve.

"I'm not surprised, there's so many brawls over the years here - they are trouble," he said.

"Someone on our street was bashed by them on New Year's Eve.

"We heard the one shot and then heard two motorbikes speed off.

"I thought it was fireworks because it's frequent around here."

"I've got grandkids, I don't want this stuff happening around here."
