Brazen daylight home invasion at Banora Point

A BANORA Point home was invaded and ransacked by armed robbers in broad daylight yesterday.

Tweed Byron LAC Inspector Greg Jago said about 2.30pm two persons entered a Banora Point home at Old Ferry Rd through an unlocked door.

One of the robbers was armed with a weapon, believed to be a knife, and the offenders ransacked the residence before demanding cash from two terrified occupants.

After stealing money and property the robbers left, but police are unsure whether that was on foot or by car.

The two occupants of the home were not injured during the incident.

Tweed Police are asking anyone who may have information to call the station on 07 5536 0999 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000. Calls to CrimeStoppers can remain anonymous.
