Third man arrested over Mundubbera murder

UPDATE AUGUST 29:

Police investigating the death of a 43-year-old Mundubbera man Gary Ryan on August 23 have today arrested and charged another man in relation to the death.

In a statement police said a 63-year-old Park Avenue man was charged with one count of murder and will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 30.

This follows the arrest and extradition of 35-year-old Orange man Mark Stephen Crump and 70-year-old Dubbo man Trevor Spencer.

Saturday, August 27:

TWO New South Wales men have been arrested over the murder of Mundubbera man Gary Ryan.

In a statement, police said a 35-year-old Orange man was arrested on Thursday, August 25 in Orange.

"He appeared in the Orange Magistrates Court yesterday and is due to be extradited to Queensland to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, August 29," the statement said.

"Overnight detectives arrested a 70-year-old Dubbo man.

"He is due to appear in the Dubbo Magistrates Court on Monday, August 29 where extradition back to Queensland will be sought.

Police have said the men will be charged when they are extradited to Queensland.

Investigations by detectives into this alleged homicide are continuing.
