BREXIT: The best damn rant from comedian John Oliver

IF you care about Great Britain's decision to leave the European Union, you're probably already used to watching eyes glaze over.

But you won't have that with British comedian and TV show host John Oliver.

In just a few minutes, Oliver tears into the Brexit debate, slamming "Leave" campaigners for quoting the film Independence Day, a film which shows the destruction of London.

One of the great lines is Oliver's admission that while he should feel glad that UK Prime Minister David Cameron is stepping down following the Brexit result, the joy was ruined for him.

"It's like catching an ice cream cone out of the air because a child was hit by a car. I mean, I'll eat it, I'll eat it but it's tainted somehow," he rants.

"And before you have any sympathy for David Cameron you should know the vote was his idea in the first place."
