Bride expo a big success

BRIDES to be flocked to the Tweed Coast Wedding Expo on Saturday, in search of some inspiration for their big day.

Expo co-ordinator Kira Henzell said more than 350 people attended the event, which was held at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre.

"We had a big crowd and there were 36 exhibitors, all from different trades," Ms Henzell said.

"A lot of brides came along and booked with exhibitors on the day to receive some great discounts.

"We had a really good response," Ms Henzell said.

It was great to have Tweed and Gold Coast exhibitors on shows, she said.

"All the exhibitors were from northern New South Wales and northern Gold Coast and it was great that brides could deal with local businesses."

The wedding expo included cakes, wedding gowns, invitations, decorations, music, hair and makeup, photography and wedding favours amongst the exhibitors.

A fashion parade held at 11.30am attracted a large crowd and showed off the latest bridal beauty trends on offer for Tweed brides.
