A WOMAN has died after a car crashed into a tree at Calamvale in Brisbane's south.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Beaudesert Rd about 8.00pm.

The 48-year-old woman, who was a rear seat passenger, died at the scene, while a 12-year-old girl was taken to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital with abdominal injuries.

An 18-year-old woman and another man were also taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.

Initial police reports suggest the car was travelling north when it collided with a tree.
