Broadwater crash briefly blocks traffic on Pacific Highway

UPDATE, 10.30am: Traffic flows have reverted to normal on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater with the road again open in both directions. 

A salvage operation of a car and B-double which crashed near the corner of Boundary Creek Rd was completed before 10am and police gave the all clear for the road to reopen fully.

 

ORIGINAL STORY: A CRASH between a B-double and a car this morning on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater has briefly closed the Pacific Highway in both directions.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the corner of Boundary Creek Rd just north of Broadwater at 7.45am. 

Fortunately the occupants of both vehicles sustained only very minor injuries, according to an Ambulance NSW spokesman, and did not require treatment.

However, motorists could expect delays.

A spokeswoman from the NSW Transport Management Centre said the highway had reopened however both lanes were impacted with a contra-flow in place.

A police media spokeswoman said a salvage operation was moving swiftly and the highway was expected to open fully within the hour.
