Bulls bite back against Redbacks

A SPIRITED performance from Queensland quick Luke Feldman put the Bulls back in the contest against South Australia by stumps at Adelaide's Gliderol Stadium yesterday.

The Bulls were decimated by a gastro bug on day one, severely weakening their bowling stocks, as the hosts cruised to 4-294. But Feldman (pictured) led a revival yesterday, picking up 5-101 as the Redbacks were skittled for 387, adding just 93 runs for six wickets.

The Bulls were 3-143 in reply at stumps, with offspinner Johan Botha (3-35) picking up Greg Moller (26), Usman Khawaja (eight) and Joe Burns (51).

Nathan Reardon (55) and Peter Forrest (0) were the not out batsmen.

Earlier, Feldman picked up the key wickets of overnight batsmen Tom Cooper (171) and Johan Botha (61) inside the first hour of play.

Test quick Ryan Harris ended up with the tidy figures of 3-42, removing lower-order batsmen Adam Zampa (23) and Chadd Sayers (seven).

Paceman Ben Cutting only managed four overs on day one, but he bounced back from his gastro bug yesterday to finish with 1-21 from 12 overs in total.
