Burglar broke, entered, nuked and then flushed

POLICE are investigating a bizarre break-and-enter at a Tweed business, where the offenders used a toilet and microwave but didn't steal anything.

Inspector Jim Kain of Tweed/Byron police said Tweed Leisure Living Company on Greenway Drive was broken into sometime between 4pm on Sunday and 8.50am yesterday.

He said it was staff from the business next door alerted the owner yesterday morning.

“The offenders gained entry to the location by unknown means and method,” Insp Kain said.

“There was no sign of entry...(but) they have rummaged through a number of filing cabinets in an office area.

“The owner can't find anything missing and the point of entry is not known.

“(But) a microwave was left opened and a toilet area was entered - a light and fan were turned on.”
