Burlesque mums get encore night

A NIGHT of feather boas and sexy costumes that sold out last month is set to return again on September 20.

Mumzbuzz founder and director Vanessa Fairweather said the response from the mums to the last burlesque night was fantastic so she decided to put on another this month with a twist.

"This night will be different because it will incorporate cabaret and the use of different props," she said.

The encore evening will again feature to Babalou at Kingscliff from 7pm and once again feature girls from Burlesque Dolls Australia.

"It will take the ladies through a fully choreographed cabaret dance using a dancing cane as a prop, featuring modern chorus-line, cabaret and Broadway dance elements incorporating the sexy moves of Burlesque," Ms Fairweather said.

"Our girls nights out are a chance for the hard-working mums of the Tweed to be able to come out and let their hair down for a night.

"We want to offer them something a little different that they may not have tried before.

"It is a great night out full of lots of laughs and fun."

To add to the mix this time a professional photographer will be there to snap the mums having a great time as a memento.

Tickets are $35 and include a glass of champagne on arrival, canapés, lucky door prizes, a mini 'boudoir-styled' photo shoot and two-hour burlesque workshop.

Mumzbuzz held its first sell-out Girls Night Out event in August at Babalou.

Bookings are essential and tickets are limited.
