Breakfast focuses on web marketing

TWEED Shire business owners will kick off networking for this year at the Murwillumbah and District Business Chamber's breakfast tomorrow.

Chamber president Toni Zuschke said business owners needed to diversify their customer base and look at finding online customers to boost sales.

“It is now time to work on our businesses instead of just in our businesses,” Ms Zuschke said.

“What better way to begin a new year than with a new fresh marketing approach?”

Alan Furlong, one of Australia's leading internet marketing teachers, would be the MDBC's special guest.

Murwillumbah SES controller Chris Christosmos will be the second speaker, outlining the business flood action plan.

Mr Christosmos said attendance at a previous meeting about flood safety was poor.

“But I assume the situation in Brisbane has got them a little more concerned,” he said.

“Our role is to provide an awareness and information.”

The breakfast starts at 7am at the Murwillumbah Services Club.
