Byron Farmers Market to fill menu for TV chef Matt Moran

CELEBRITY chef Matt Moran will visit the Byron Farmers Market next week to source local produce for his new TV show, Paddock to Plate.

Matt will visit stallholders next Thursday to select ingredients for one of the dishes he will create for the show, to air on The LifeStyle Channel on Foxtel later this year.

Paddock to Plate will take Matt back to his roots in country Australia, where his lifelong obsession with using only the very best produce began.

General manager Life-Style Channels and head of production Duane Hatherly said the show would have food at its heart.

"Not only is Matt one of Australia's most recognised and successful chefs, but he is a passionate advocate of local providores, quality produce and an overarching respect for the land," he said.

Byron Farmers Market manager Mike Stack said he was extremely excited to have a chef of Matt's calibre visit the market.
