Cabarita street work begins
THE new street scaping project is underway at Cabarita Beach.
Tweed Shire Council traffic engineer John Zawadzki said the works will involve some disruptions to business access.
“Despite the works, the shops will be open for business as usual and customers are encouraged to support these businesses,” Mr Zawadzki said.
“The patience and understanding throughout this construction phase is greatly appreciated.”
Contractor Scapes Shapes Landscaping is contracted, following collaboration with the Cabarita Beach Bogangar Residents Association and the Cabarita Beach Business Association.
“The design is to create a pedestrian-friendly environment, building on the existing social character while retaining the area's natural character,” Mr Zawadzki said.
