Calling kids of all ages for race
JUNIOR fitness freaks have been reminded the Kingscliff Triathlon is not just for the adults.
Kids as young as seven years old can compete, with specially designed distances tailored for young athletes.
The junior division, for ages seven to 10 years, includes a 100 metre swim, three kilometre bike ride and 500 metre run, with the junior teen age group, between 11 and 15 years, doubling those distances.
For other athletes older than 16, the tempta, or even the almost Olympic distances are waiting.
Kids should check whether their schools are entering teams in the event.
Entries close on Sunday, February 28, and hurry, only 500 competitors are allowed.
