Can't beat Chickadees' success

THE Banora Point Chickadees are a talented little under-10s netball side.

The girls have been playing together since they were seven and eight years of age.

Their coach Sharon Turnbull has spent many long hours over the years teaching them netball skills and it all paid off at the Tweed Netball Associations' recent carnival.

The Chickadees were the only Tweed team to come first and even more amazingly, they went through undefeated.

They played some hard teams and the games were tough.

The Chickadees have had some setbacks, with two of their players having broken arms and three players not feeling the best on carnival day. However at the end of the day their determination paid off.
