Car crashes into house at Nambucca

UPDATE: A FEMALE driver, aged in her 60s, was freed from her car this afternoon after it crashed into a house at Nambucca Heads. 

Police are investigating the accident, which caused minor damage to the property in Liston St.

It is understood the Toyota Corolla had just left the driveway of a unit block, opposite the house, when it careered off the road and crashed through the front wire fence.  

An ambulance spokeswoman said the driver was taken to Macksville Hospital suffering shock and minor injuries.

The accident happened just before midday.

Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and local Volunteer Rescue Association crews attended along with paramedics.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

11.55am: EMERGENCY services have been tasked to an accident where a car has reportedly crashed into  a house at Nambucca Heads.

Police have been told the driver is trapped in the vehicle by informants at the scene.

The accident happened in Liston St just before midday.

More details will be released when they come to hand.
