It's back to school for most, but first day for Year 1s
CASSIE Morley has her uniform and is looking forward to her first day of big school at Terranora Public School.
Things should run smoothly for the excited student after taking part in an orientation program to get new students used to the primary school environment.
"There is a cow at the school," Cassie said.
"I like the library and the books... and the computers."
Cassie's parents Wade "Moose" and Priscilla Morley said their daughter was excited to start school.
"She has had such a great preparation," Mrs Morley said.
"She is excited saying, 'I'm going to big school now'."
Mr Morley said it was an easy step for the parents as well.
"We sort of are saving money because we do not have to pay for three days of child care when she starts school," he said.
Both Mr and Mrs Morley said they preferred the public school system to the private.
"I went through the public school system," Mr Morley said.
Mrs Morley went to private school but preferred public school for her daughter.
