Head coach Adam Leach encouraged all interested parties, sponsors and current and potential players to come along.

"It's a register your interest and player information day and we're also going to introduce the coaching staff and have a general info day,” Leach said.

"We're also looking for other parties interested in sponsorship, we have a range onboard, but we're looking for more.”

Leach said the first official meeting was another step in the building of the fledging senior side, who'll look to begin pre-season training in early February.

He said the club had garnered strong, with the club looking to build a squad of about 35 players.

"We've actually got strong interest from overseas players, mainly Fijian and Tongan players and that's great,” Leach said.

”We're really happy, they've played at high levels so hopefully they'll come downand hang around.”
