Catwalking for a cause

MEMBERS of the Tweed Hospital Auxiliary will strut their stuff next Monday.

The tireless, unsung heroes, who raise vital funding for hospital equipment, will brave the catwalk, putting nerves aside for a great cause.

The women will get to choose their own clothes on the day.

“That way, they feel more comfortable and are happy with how they look,” auxiliary member Jean Carter said.

The annual fashion show is one of many fundraisers organised by the group of women.

Ms Carter said the organisation has 160 members all working in some capacity for the auxiliary.

“So far this financial year we have purchased, committed to buy or provided something in the region of $300,000,” Ms Carter said.

The fashion parade starts at 9.30am at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre.
