Chamber enters alliance
KINGSCLIFF and District Business Chamber members can look forward to additional benefits with the announcement of a new alliance with the NSW Business Chamber.
The chamber board has completed the agreement for the Local Chamber Alliance Program, an initiative of the NSW Business Chamber to unify the chamber movement in Australia and strengthen the voice of business.
Members who “opt-in” to the new alliance will receive discounted rates on their next renewal, as long as their membership is maintained.
They will also receive access to a member directory, e-newsletters, business guides, legal business toolkits and discounts for attending local NSW Business Chamber events.
Kingscliff chamber board member Dennis Eyre said the benefits to members were endless.
“The NSW Business Chamber is the second oldest corporation in Australia. It is a very large and powerful body with very influential people in high places,” Mr Eyre said.
“By joining the Local Chamber Alliance we can make sure we can get a fairer deal for business in this area and our members can get full support from that body.
“We get direct access to a wealth of knowledge and can sit on advisory boards.”
Mr Eyre said the alliance had been well received by current Kingscliff chamber members.
“They're seeing it as a great value-add to their Kingscliff chamber membership,” Mr Eyre said.
“It's a far stronger voice for our area than we ever could be as a local chamber. Our members are very excited.”
The next Kingscliff chamber meeting will be on May 17 at 7am at the Kingscliff Beach Bowls Club.
Cost is $25. Call 0266749400 to RSVP.
