Chambers clan drops in on Mur'bah Country Roots Fest launch

WHEN the stars of the show stepped off a boat to launch the Murwillumbah Country Roots Festival on Friday morning, all signs suggested it would be a spectacular weekend, with the weather to match. 

Kasey Chambers and dad Bill officially launched the festival at the Murwillumbah Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Greenhills on Tweed. 

Chambers, who's performing on Sunday, said she was excited for the week ahead.

KASEY and Bill Chambers helped to launch the inaugural Murwillumbah Country Roots Festival on Friday morning at a Murwillumbah breakfast. 

The festival will feature the likes of Busby Marou, Round Mountain Girls and Sara Storer. 

It will run until Monday.
