Cherry picker rolls over Bilambil embankment

A TEN tonne cherry picker has fallen down an embankment at Bilmabil, leaving the driver with minor injuries.
Tweed Byron LAC Detective Inspector Darryl Steele said the driver of the vehicle, a male, was seen by paramedics after the crash and was treated for minor lacerations.
Traffic on Bilambil Road was briefly blocked in both directions about 1.50pm (NSW) when the crash took place but residents can now expect the area to be clear and no detours necessary.
“The recovery of the cherry picker itself may not take place today,” Det Ins Steele said.
