Chinderah's very own piano man
SING us a song, piano man.
How many times would Kerry Swan have heard that?
The cocktail pianist has had many a request and a multitude of encores in his exciting career.
Travelling on cruise ships, he has seen Canada, Alaska and Russia and has "swanned" around the Caribbean whilst ticking the ebony and ivory keys of his grand piano.
The Hacienda Tourist Park at Chinderah now has the privilege of housing the maestro and his classy white grand piano.
"I can tell a few tales about my travels,' he said.
"I've already made a DVD, written a book and I'm now working on a film about my life as a pianist."
"I've had a very privileged life.
"I've played with the best.
"One of the highlights was my time in Alaska.
"The scenery was breathtaking."
Mr Swan played piano in the evenings and acted as a tour guide through the day.
"It was an ideal lifestyle," he said.
"Quite a glamorous lifestyle.
"It took me also to Hawaii and Mexico and over to Japan and Korea.
"I'm sure many would envy my life."
The Alaska trip came about for a funny reason.
"Believe it or not, I was sick of the sight of palm trees.
"Alaska was the logical solution."
Mr Swan started playing at the tender age on nine.
