Chris Brown in standoff with Police

Chris Brown's house searched by police after stand-off

POLICE have begun searching the Los Angeles mansion of singer Chris Brown after a woman -- thought to be a beauty queen -- phoned 911, claiming a gun was pointed at her.

It follows a nine-hour stand-off, during which the singer took to Instagram to deny he did anything wrong, promote his wares and demand police get a search warrant.

He also said "F--- the police".

Baylee Curran reportedly called police, saying a gun was pointed at her while she was inside Chris Brown's LA mansion.

Media reports out of Los Angeles suggest the singer is about to be arrested.

TMZ reports he threw a duffel bag out the window to police that apparently contained drugs and weapons.

He told the police to "come and get me".

At a press conference, police said Brown surreneded about 1pm local time and is now working with the LA Police.

The woman at the centre of the stand-off is reported to be Baylee Curran, who was named Miss California Regional 2016.

She phoned 911 at 3am on Tuesday.

She appeared on TMZ saying that she had a gun pulled on her after she admired a piece of jewellery, then his entourage demanded she sign a non-disclosure agreement.

She told TMZ she had partied with Chris in the past and he was always nice, but this time was "out of it".

The piece of jewellery was being shown off by a member of Brown's crew.

She said she admired it and the guy "went nuts", followed by Brown who told her to "get the f--- out" and pointed a gun at her.

EARLIER: Police in stand off with Chris Brown after woman calls 911 from inside

VIOLENT singer Chris Brown may have found himself on the wrong side of the law once again, this time after a woman called 911 from his home, claiming the singer had pointed a gun at her.

Los Angeles Police turned up at his house soon after, but Brown is understood to have refused to talk to police.

Instead, the singer posted videos of himself on Instagram, claiming that police were attempting to portray him as a "villain" and denying he had done anything wrong.

"You've all got to stop playing with me like I'm the villain here, like I'm going crazy. I'm not," the visibly angry Brown said.

"When you get the warrant for whatever you need to do, you're going walk right up in here and you're going to see nothing, you idiots."

He also described police as "the worst gang in the world".

US media quotes Police Lieutenant Chris Ramirez telling reporters that officers were still trying to make contact with Brown.

They are also seeking any witnesses, and the woman who called 911.

Police were now waiting on a search warrant.

The singer topped the charts with his 2005 track "Run It" but became notorious after he violently bashed superstar singer girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
