Christmas predicted to be wet

Tweed residents are in for a wet Christmas according to The Weather Channel.

Presenter for the Weather Channel Dave Kirwan said the Tweed region was in for a possible storm both on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

“It does look like Tweed will get some rain for sure over the holiday period,” Mr Kirwan said.

“Generally it looks like all the Australian capital cities will get a fine day for Christmas but on the coast it looks like rain.

“The temperature for Christmas Day will be 29 degrees while the temperature on Boxing Day will be 30 degrees.”

Although rain was sure to fall from the sky on Christmas Day Tweed residents should not be alarmed and assume torrential rainfall is imminent.

“There are showers predicted but it does not look like there will be heavy rainfall or storms in Tweed Heads or Murwillumbah on Christmas Day or Boxing Day,” Mr Kirwan said.

“It does not look like there will be rain on Christmas Eve, it can be hard to predict exactly but there is no strong weather change predicted for the holiday season.”
