Church school complex for sale

A CHURCH complex which was home to the former Lakeside Christian primary school campus is for sale.

The 3.4-hectare property zoned for special purposes is being offered for sale at auction by Ray White Special Projects Queensland.

The site, located at 56 Caloola Drive, encompasses the Lakeside Christian Church and is currently tenanted by Southern Cross University.

Sam Biggins, of Ray White Special Projects Queensland, said the property provided solid rental returns and had strong potential for future capital gains.

“The property currently nets approximately $242,000 per annum,” Mr Biggins said.

“Ancillary buildings are leased to Southern Cross University until January, 2012, with an option for an extra 12 months.

“There have been a number of improvements, including to the church hall, amenities blocks, ancillary rooms, the grounds and the car park.”

Mr Biggins said the site had easy access to arterial roads to the north and south and also to amenities in Tweed Heads.

“The site is in close proximity to local schools, shopping centres and is only two kilometres from the Tweed Heads town centre,” he said.

“There is also quick and easy access to beaches and Coolangatta Airport.”

Mr Biggins said Tweed Heads had benefited significantly from the resurgence of confidence in the market. The auction is to be held at 10.30am on Friday, July 30 in the Riverside Centre, Eagle Street, Brisbane.
