Civil works begin on Casuarina Beach development

CIVIL works are progressing as per schedule on the Hutchinson's building project at Casuarina beach.

Shane Slape, administrator for the project said things are progressing as planned and was looking good for the set finish date of December 19, after which building works will begin.

"The vast majority of the development will be residential, however there are a few commercial sites, one for the new Coles Supermarket and a few others like a day care centre,"Mr Slape said.

Works are continuing on all internal roads. Dianella drive, which currently links the Tweed Coast rd to the precinct, will become a culdersac and a set of traffic lights will be installed on a new intersection further south towards Cabarita.

There are no major traffic delays forecast for the project in the near future.
