Classical chords to feature at Tyalgum Festival

This weekend is the annual Tyalgum Festival of Classical Music held at the Tyalgum Hall. Featuring flutes, harps, didgeridoos, an Indigenous blessing, children's choirs, a hairy bush band, harpsichord, bassoon, french horn, song - it is all there in a luscious and heady indulgence.

Superheroes at the ready for harbour heroics

Superhero Saturday is on tomorrow at Jack Evans Boat Harbour.

With added super challenges, riddles and great prizes to be won, what better reason do you need to don your cape, dust off your superpowers and join in with your family team?

Superhero Saturday is an orienteering style fundraising event where children team up with their parents, all dressed as their favourite superheroes.

Catch some rays at Coolangatta Markets

Coolangatta Markets are on Sunday on the beachfront at Coolangatta Beach.

With over 150 stalls of handmade crafts, fresh produce, preserves, cookies and cakes there's something for everyone.

The markets operate from 8am to 2.30pm, weather permitting.

Sunshine, river views and roaring engines

The Nev Wilson Memorial Ski Race will be held this weekend and boats with water skiers attached will be rocketing down the Tweed River at over 110kmh.

Free for spectators, the first race event will begin at 11am Saturday on the Tweed River at Tumbulgum and the second race will begin at 9am on Sunday at Fingal Head.

Soccer final set to stun spectators

Murwillumbah Football Club will be hosting the Gold Coast Premier League grand final tomorrow at Jim Devine Field in Murwillumbah.

Murwillumbah reserves grade will be up against Broadbeach at 1pm with the A-grade game featuring Broadbeach versus Mudgeeraba kicking off at 3.30pm.
