Schiffer’s shocking salary for Love Actually cameo

CLAUDIA Schiffer got paid a fortune for her 60-second cameo in Love Actually.

The supermodel plays the mum of one of Sam's schoolmates, whose dad Daniel (Liam Neeson) meets and develops a crush on.

Her fleeting scene as Carol sees her come face-to-face with Daniel in a school corridor and he mistakenly calls her Karen.

He says: "Well, I hope we'll meet again, Karen".

Despite his mistake, she replies: "I'll make sure we do".

She also makes a very brief appearance in the airport at the end of the hugely popular 2003 movie.

As reported by The Sun, the book How Much?!: The $1000 Omlette ... and 1100 Other Astonishing Money Moments reveals the film's director Richard Curtis splashed £200k [which was the equivalent to $A540,000 in 2003] on her show-stealing moment.

The hefty pay packet is in stark contrast to Kris Marshall, who plays Colin in the film.

The actor said he was happy not to be paid for a full day's work on the movie, specifically the day he was shooting the scene where he gets undressed by the three American girls.

He reportedly had such a good time being undressed by the stunners during the 21 takes it took to film the scene that he told Richard Curtis he was happy to do it all for free.

Despite his iconic role in the film, Marshall wasn't part of the Love Actually reunion for Comic Relief earlier this year.

Speaking about not being part of it, he told the Mirror: "I did get a very, very sweet email from Richard.

"Richard said, 'Look, we're making a charity, where-are-they-now movie of Love Actually, but I didn't have the time or the budget to go and see where your character went.'"

Marshall added: "But with Emma Thompson and Martin Freeman also not in it, I'm in good company."
