Clive Palmer's party gets Qld tick of approval
CLIVE Palmer's political party will appear on Queensland ballots.
The Electoral Commission Queensland advised Mr Palmer that it had approved the registration of Palmer's United Party on Tuesday.
It follows a routine registration process to show the party had at least 500 paid up members after PUP lost both its sitting MPs in the Queensland Parliament in the last six months.
Mr Palmer had gone on the attack following the ECQ request, accusing it of being part of a Campbell Newman led conspiracy to punish PUP.
He had threatened legal action, which he has since dropped, but he has maintained his attack position against the LNP.
