Cloud stories, treasure maps and more at the gallery
TREASURE hunts, jewellery-making and sculpting - the Tweed Regional Gallery is bustling with creative activities for kids of all ages until the school holidays end.
For kids aged five and up, a free, treasure map-and-trail will be held at the gallery until Sunday, January 26.
Older kids will be able to take part in Kids with Ellie Beck sewing workshop this Sunday from 10.30am-12.30pm.
The gallery will provide buttons, zippers and studs, so that kids can make brooches, necklaces and bracelets using basic sewing skills.
On Sunday, February 9, kids aged six and over can join award winning sculptor Geoffrey Cotton for Stories Clouds Tell workshop.
Cotton won third prize in the Border Art Prize 2012, judged by Michael Rolfe, CEO of Museums and Galleries NSW.
Kids will be able to make a cloud sculpture that is inspired by Cotton's Border Art prize winning piece.
The cost is $40 per child, and $10 for carers who would like to make a sculpture too.
Bookings, 02 6670 2790.
