Club chips in to help Tweed women
THE Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club “chipped in” a little time and money for the Tweed Shire Women’s Services last week, raising more than $700 for the community managed, not-for-profit organisation.
The funds will help provide a range of services and programs to women and children living in the Tweed shire, and golfer Rhonda McCulloch was happy to be involved.
“It’s all going to a very worthwhile cause,” she said.
“We were happy to help and had a little fun as well.”
Since 1987 TSWS has helped those affected by domestic violence by providing early intervention education, crisis support and crisis accommodation.
The cheque was presented to TSWS chairperson Robyn Hoopman, right, on Wednesday by Coolangatta-Tweed Golf Club ladies president Marcia Miller.
