THE weather in Murwillumbah on Saturday interrupted the funnet and netta competitions on their normal courts, but many thanks to coaches Pat and Emma who ensured those who did attend had a fun game.
The general meeting from last week was postponed to 7pm Thursday at the RSL. Topics for discussion will include the Banana Carnival preparation, costs for new players this late in the season and volunteering to help at Speed on Tweed. Everyone is welcome.
Murwillumbah extends its best wishes to the five teams who are heading north to the Tweed for the club carnival on Sunday. Unfortunately a complete run down of the results from Murwillumbah on Saturday was not available but this weekend's draw follows:
Netta: 11am - Crickets v Bogangar Blue Wrens, Red Backs v Super Fabs;
11/12: 11am - Hot Shots v Super Stars, Girl Zone v Bogangar;
Intermediate: 1pm - Get Smart Goal Getters v The Storm, Spice Girls v Caba Crew, Southern Cross Stars have the bye;

WELL done to the Firebirds over the weekend with a gutsy win over Northern Mystics (59-57).
The win will assist the girls' push towards a playoff spot.
The 2008 defending champions, NSW Swifts, must be wondering what they need to do to win.
In a tough encounter the NSW Swifts were defeated by Central Pulse 53-52. The Firebirds need to complete a great championship with a win over the Fever this weekend in Perth.
Best of luck to the girls as they head West and hopefully cement their position in the finals.
