Coffee gives Kingscliff auction goers the buying buzz

FREE coffee helps sell houses.

That was the discovery of Kingscliff's LJ Hooker reality after its successful auction at Kingscliff on the weekend.

Auctioneer Mark Humphries said, "The agency provided free coffee to help generate a sense of the event and excitement at actions."

"It was a huge success making approx 60 coffees for locals, neighbours.".

The three-bedroom, three bathroom property, at of 13 Oceanview Cres, had been owned by the same family for over 20 years and sold for $31,000 over reserve price.

"The most amazing feedback from locals was the positive vibe they received at the auction event," Mr Humphries said.

"It just consolidates the known fact that auctions do work if the agent and vendor are aligned with a common goal

"The auction had interest from all over Australia, with 70 people spilled out onto the road, it was larger than expected."
