Cold snap to hit on the weekend

TIME to drag those winter woollies out of the mothballs if you haven't already done so as the first cold snap of the season is on its way.

The temperature is expected to dip to as low as seven degrees on Saturday and Sunday in the Tweed Shire.

The Bureau of Metereology is predicting sunny with light winds on Saturday with a minimum of seven degrees and maximum of 18.

Sunday is expected to be cloudy with light winds with the same temperatures as Saturday.

There's also snow predicted for some parts of the country over the next couple of days.
