Revealed: Cronk, Tara’s secret wedding

THE ultimate emotion-charged chapter of Cooper Cronk and Tara Ruston's enduring love story is about to be penned with the glamour couple set to marry tomorrow in Sydney.

Behind a veil of secrecy, the intensely private couple will take their vows in front of a gathering of close family and high-profile friends from Fox Sports, the NRL and Melbourne Storm.

The wedding is set to take place at exclusive Whale Beach restaurant Jonah's.

Cronk will cap the most extraordinary year of his career, which has included a premiership ring with Melbourne, World Cup glory and a new future at the Sydney Roosters, by committing to Rushton - the woman he chose to quit the Storm after two decades for.

"I'm jealous of the guys who have their families here, who have their loved ones and have football in the same city," Cronk said at the time of his announcement last April.

"Unfortunately - or fortunately - whichever side you sit on, it's time for me to try and prioritise my time and my future and that's why I've made the announcement.

".... If it was a football decision, I'd be staying here for a long period of time. But for me to finish up here at Melbourne Storm this year is a personal (decision) ... there's a few things in life that are more important than football, like family, getting married and a future.

"I've been pretty selfish in my approach to my football career and I think it's time I put someone else and something else first."

Ironically, Rushton, who reports and presents football for Fox Sports, has chosen to marry Cronk on the same day she hosts, popular football show, Just For Kicks.

It's anticipated that Storm coach Craig Bellamy, star fullback Billy Slater, Fox Sports presenters Megan Barnard, Robbie Slater and Mark Bosnich will all be among the guests.
