Council to explore feasibility of indoor sports facility

TWEED Shire Council has engaged a consultant to determine the feasibility of a regional indoor sports facility as part of the next stage of the Arkinstall Park development at Tweed Heads South.

The consultants, Leisure Planners, will also prepare a concept for the indoor sports facility, as well as a rectangular stadium for Arkinstall Park.

The project will investigate the business case for these facilities, prepare a likely schedule of use, project likely costs and income and suggest how they could be funded and managed.
