Country gem Kasey Chambers to play Twin Towns
AUSTRALIA'S favourite female country musician is on the road and heading back to Twin Towns Services Club.
Kasey Chambers will be back in town with fellow country musicians Ashleigh Dallas, Kevin Bennett and Harry Hookey for what will be a wild night.
Mydailynews.com.au caught up with Chambers late last week, and she told us touring kept her busy, but not as busy as her kids did.
The popular musician's life is a constant juggling act between career and family, especially with three kids under 12 in tow.
"I don't always get it right," she said.
When touring, she doesn't always bring the family along.
"If we spend a bit longer on the road we will bring the kids," she said.
Despite being from a very musical family, Chambers said her kids, Talon, 11, Arlo, 6, and Poet, 18 months, had yet to follow in mum and granddad's (Bill Chambers) footsteps.
"They all really like music but none are particular good singers yet," she said, laughing.
"I think they kind of think it's normal to have a recording studio out the back and instruments all around the house.
"They just don't know any different."
Chambers admitted she wasn't fully into music until her teen years and thinks it could also be the case for her three.
As for this tour, the kids are at home with the family.
The beautiful Australian artist is no stranger to the Tweed and loves playing a show here.
"I am always so well looked after there," she said.
"I've been playing there for years and it is such an amazing place."
Chambers said the show was basically a tour through her musical successes and would include some of her hits.
Check her and the other artists out on September 13.
