Gold Coast's Scott Douglas sing country at M'bah tonight

GOLD Coast country musician Scott Douglas will perform in Murwillumbah for the first time tonight.

Douglas, originally from the US, has been living on the Gold Coast for about eight years.

He said tonight would mark his first time performing on the Northern Rivers.

"I'm really excited about it," he said.

Douglas said he was born in Indiana but was first really introduced to country music in Atlanta, Georgia.

There, he built a passion for the music, but only recently took to the stage.

"I actually didn't start performing until about three years ago," Douglas said.

"I was always singing in the shower and my wife got sick of it and said you've got to do something with this."

Douglas will perform at 7.30pm at Murwillumbah Services Club on Friday, August 14.
