Casino bashing

THE CASE against Casino man Peter Lane, who is accused of punching Peter Morris on Barker St at Casino last month, has been adjourned.

A fresh charge of murder was laid against Lane after Mr Morris died as a result of injuries suffered in the alleged bashing.

Magistrate Jeff Linden adjourned the case until October 16 at Lismore Local Court.

Uki stabbing

A BANORA Point man who allegedly kidnapped and stabbed another Banora Point man 29 times remains in custody.

The case against 41-year-old Shane Dawes, who is accused of kidnapping and stabbing 62-year-old Tom Ringstad while driving along Kyogle Rd at Uki, was adjourned by Magistrate Jeff Linden until November 6 at Lismore Local Court.

Tweed bashing

A TWEED Heads man who allegedly bashed and stomped on another Tweeds Heads man, resulting in his death, has now been charged with murder.

Gareth Lewis, 36 did not appear in Lismore Local Court this morning, when the case was adjourned until November 20 to allow time for neurological and toxicology reports on his alleged victim, 41-year-old David Mitchell, to be completed.

Wollongbar robbery

THE CASE against Rhonda Tideswell and Max Majurinen, who allegedly robbed the Wollongbar Pharmacy on June 4, has been adjourned until November 20 at Lismore Local Court.
