YESTERDAY:

YESTERDAY:

C'mon Mackay, the North Queensland Cowboys are coming, so get excited.

The NRL winners will be in Mackay on Sunday as part of their regional tour.

A ticker tape parade will be held down Victoria St from about 9.15am.

Cowboys football general manager Peter Parr said the players were looking forward to the tour.

"Our players understand that they represent all of north Queensland," he said.

"We have a lot of peple that travel significant distances to watch our team and support our team and players.

"The players want to ensure they acknowledge that and pay them back by taking the trophy and acknowledging their support, for not only this year but a number of year."

Some of the best Cowboys players, including co-captains Johnathan Thurston and Matt Scott, and former Mackay Cutters player Jason Taumalolo will be in Mackay on Sunday.
