Craig Thomson credit records don't add up, court told

FORMER Labor MP Craig Thomson's credit card records were "not kosher", union whistleblower Kathy Jackson told a Melbourne Court on Thursday.

Mr Thomson has pleaded not guilty to 145 charges related to the alleged misuse of union funds on escort services, pornography and other personal expenses.

The court heard on Wednesday Mr Thomson's union credit card has been used to pay for almost $6000 worth of sexual services, according to a police forensic accountant.

Ms Jackson, who has been union national secretary since Mr Thomson left in 2007, said her investigation of his spending habits showed a pattern of withdrawals and purchases that "did not really match up", the ABC reported.

While a union auditor previously told the court there was no specific policy for union credit cards, Ms Jackson said Mr Thomson's records "were not kosher and looked very strange".

The trial continues.
