Crikey, is that croc real?

A GIANT crocodile left the Tweed yesterday on its way to a restaurant on the NSW central coast.

Artist Richard Colson created the 34-foot beast from foam and ironbark wood.

The replica was the perfect model down to the scar on the tail that often happens when they fight for territory in the wild.

Mr Colson said he loved crocs, but with two more replicas to finish before Christmas he was glad to be working on a different project next year.

The crocodile did not go quietly with Mr Colson having to saw off the legs from one side for it to fit on the back of the truck.

"I will send down some touch up paint, and tell them how to reattach it," he said.
