Critical look at tragic love story

THE Bell Shakespeare Company, which brought the successful Macbeth Undone show to Murwillumbah last year, will return to town next Friday.

The company will bring with it a dramatic presentation of Such Sweet Sorrow, which deconstructs the Shakespearean love tragedy Romeo and Juliet.

The audience will become immersed in the feud between the Montague and Capulet families and follow the characters from their youthful, innocent beginnings to their tragic end.

The presentation, by Murwillumbah Theatre Company, will take an in-depth look at the turbulent tale.

Bell Shakespeare company celebrates its 26th anniversary this year.

Such Sweet Sorrow is a 50- minute play and there will be a 10-minute Q&A forum with the actors after the show.

It will be held at Murwillumbah Civic Centre from 7.30pm next Friday.

The Canvas and Kettle Bar will be open from 6.30pm. Auditorium doors will open at 7pm.

This performance will have row seating only, no tables available for BYO.

Tickets $20, including one complimentary drink. They can be purchased from Electronics Murwillumbah or murwillumbahtheatre company.com. More info: Bryanne 0402 052 160.
