Crook and Featherstone's charges mentioned in court

CLIVE Palmer's media advisor Andrew James Crook, 48, and former police detective turned private investigator Michael John Featherstone, 51, have had their matter mentioned briefly in court.

The men were arrested in December and charged with intimidating a witness, attempted fraud and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

A third man, former AFL player Tony Smith, 48, was arrested earlier this month and has been charged with the same offences.

It is alleged the three men masterminded a plan to lure a NAB bank executive to a luxury Asian resort in January 2013, under the guise of a potential job opportunity with Mr Palmer.

But it is alleged the three men actually lured the banker to the resort in a bid to get him to change his statement over a $70 million lawsuit Smith had previously been involved with.

Police have said previously there was no suggestion Mr Palmer was involved in the plot.

Crook's and Featherstone's matters will be mentioned again in Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 27.
